I started at Muay Thai Niagara in 2019 shortly after my Dad passed away of lung cancer. I
was in a very dark place mentally and physically in the worst shape of my life. I felt lousy
and unhealthy. I needed some where to put my grief.
My best friend encouraged me to go try a class with her, little did I know I was not just
entering a gym that day but a family.
I started with one class a week and soon realized I was capable of more thanks to the
encouragement of our coaches.
I love learning the techniques of Muay Thai. It’s a skill I never saw myself capable of. The
coaches are so supportive, encouraging, motivating, skilled and so much fun. I now do 2
classes a night 4-5 days a week with a mix of strength and conditioning, adult mixed
classes, ab and ladies class.
I feel stronger and healthier than I ever have. The weight has melted away and my
confidence has grown. I am super excited to continue learning the techniques and building
the amazing friendships I have already made. This is a gym where no matter your path in
life you will be supported, encouraged and not judged.
I am truly thankful for Muay Thai Niagara. They saved me in more ways I could possibly

I joined Muay Thai Niagara in July 2020 right after everything started opening back up. It was
the best thing that happened this year! I started Muay Thai with no experience ever in martial
arts and the coaches were fantastic at making sure I learned all the necessary techniques. I feel
better mentally and physically than I have ever felt working out in any gym/fitness centres. The
staff, I have to say are like family now, they treat you like you are home. The only thing I regret
is not finding out about MTN earlier in the past years I been in St cathartines. If I could rate
MTN out of 5 stars I would give it 100.

I have been training with Muay Thai Niagara for 11 years now. It started with just wanting to
lose 10lbs for my wedding. I never dreamt that a gym would do as much as it has for me. The
entire coaching staff are more than just my trainers but they are some of my very best friends.
They have taken a shy bullied adult and turned me into a confident adult who truly believes
that there isn't anything I can't do even though I have suffered from MS for 38 years. They
have also taught me that there isn't any goal/dream that you can't make come true. I had, had
a dream of completing the New York City marathon since 1994 and my head trainer Kru Roger
always wants to know what goals I want to reach every year. I just mentioned it one year
thinking that he would think it was as absurd a goal as there was but he told me to do some
research and find out how I could get entered so I did and gave him the information. He and his
wife Aly formulated a training plan for me that was geared strictly towards me accomplishing
this goal. In 2018 I headed out to New York with Kru Roger where he and I finished the
marathon side by side and is something that I will never forget. In 2019 I had the dream of
climbing into the ring and competing which I thought would never happen but with all of the
coaches helping me I reached that goal as well. I can't wait to see what the future holds for me
at MTN.
MTN coaches and athletes are all considered to be extensions of my family that I will be forever
grateful for.

Muay Thai, or Thai-Kickboxing, is one of the world's best workouts! Known as "The Science of 8 Limbs", Muay Thai uses punches, kicks,
knees and elbows making it the most effective striking martial art. This class will get you in great shape, build confidence,
teach you to be able to defend yourself and most of all - it's fun! Kru Roger Lumyoung is the only certified Kru in all of Niagara,
offering training in both traditional and modern Muay Thai and ensuring you get the best Muay Thai training. It will provide you with
a great stress and frustration outlet, improve your Self-Confidence and tech you self defence
Ladies Only
Our Ladies-Only class brings together a great full-body workout, stress relief in a positive and motivating environment!
In this class, women get the benefit of the workout from Muay Thai, but there is no contact. Participant’s get to do all the
punches, kicks, knees and elbows from Muay Thai on the heavy bags, double-end bags and pads. Classes are always varied and we have
multiple coaches to ensure beginners and experienced students get the proper attention needed.
Strength & Conditoning
The Strength and Conditioning classes at Muay Thai Niagara MMA will blow you away!
It is an intense hour workout using weights, kettle bells, TRX, plyo boxes, bosu balls and much more!
The workouts are geared towards each individuals level of fitness, so no matter if you are brand new
or are an experienced athlete you will find the workout challenging. Improve your cardiovascular
fitness and increase your strength while burning maximum calories and having fun.
